What is the optimum range of blood pressure for a teen?

Mackenzie asked:

I’m 15 and I think I have low blood pressure. I don’t want to go to my doctor to ask what a normal range is when I can ask you guys. I specifically need to know what too low is, but I’d also like to know what too high is just out of curiosity.

Please don’t tell me that anything below 120/80 is good because I’m a teenager, and age does affects what a normal blood pressure is.

Can low blood pressure mean I’m pregnant?

vanillaqueen018 asked:

I’m a 21-year-old female with unhealthy eating habits and noticeable weight gain. I’ve been monitoring my blood pressure for a few weeks now, and it should be high, but the readings I’ve been getting show me my diastolic pressure usually as 106, 111, 113, 116, but never over 123. I’m on Yaz birth control and venlafaxine, and I’ve recently taken Plan B. Could my low pressure mean I’m pregnant? If not, then what does it mean?

(Clarifications) Has anyone experienced low blood pressure while on Effexor XR or any other anti-depressants?

UndomesticGoddess asked:

Has anyone experienced low blood pressure while on Effexor XR or any other anti-depressants?
Did it cause fainting? I have gone to the doctor’s. He says I have low blood pressure and I need and EKG and a holter monitor for 24 hours. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. He does not think it is the meds, but it started as soon as I started the medication. I have been on it for 6 weeks.

Rachel asked:

My boyfriend is almost 18 and has high blood pressure. Should I be worried? He seems kind of young for that. It feels weird to touch him because since he has high blood pressure he’s always warm and I am usually cold because I have low blood pressure. And I also heard that erectile dysfunction can be cause by high BP. Not that I plan on having sex with him or anything, but should I be concerned? I’m just wondering.
