I have a home blood pressure monitor which I used to keep track of it last year because it was high.
For a while I stopped using it because my pressure went down, but lately I got curious to see if it had changed and started taking to again–once in the morning, and once at night.
It is usually about 138/88 or within a 3 mg range of that every time I take it.
But, sometimes, maybe 2 or 3 times a week, I’ll take it and it’ll read 119/79 or something within 3 mg of that. This might sound ridiculous, but is this something to be concerned about? I’m not used to my blood pressure being that low…as I said, it is 138/88 about 9 out of 10 times that I take it. So why would it drop nearly 20 mg sometimes? I understand 119/79 is normal healthy blood pressure and no doctor would think there was anything wrong with that, but what about when your blood pressure is usually in the range mine is? What could account for a drop like that?
