What is a normal blood pressure for an infant? How about a child under 5 years of age?

A question from delouse: What is a normal blood pressure for an infant? How about a child under 5 years of age?
I’ve never heard parents discuss or mention anything about their child’s blood pressure. I know I never knew what my daughter’s blood pressure was. I just assumed it was o.k. and her pediatrician never mentioned it. I don’t remember if her blood pressure was even taken during visits to the doctor.

An Honest Review of Blood Pressure Factors(TM)

High blood pressure is a tremendously dangerous ailment. It strikes people worldwide daily. For a few, high blood pressure is often easily corrected. For others, elevated blood pressure is a big challenge that they are forced to struggle with every day. Even if some can control the issue with ordinary medications, other people have a harder time. Is there any wonder, then, that so many people look for natural remedies or a magic bullet for their problems? This is one of the reasons you will find plenty of so called “natural remedies” recommended on the internet. This story will analyze the Blood Pressure Factors(TM) produced by Michael’s Naturopathic Programs.

Michael Schwartz formed Michael’s Naturopathic Programs in the mid 1980s. In addition to being among the first to invent supplements geared toward specific genders, Michael Schwartz’s recognition dates back to the 1970s. Blood Pressure Factors continues to be the company’s best-selling product for over twenty years. In the field of naturopathic healthcare, this supplement is very popular.

Blood Pressure Factors is a natural supplement that is available in the form of a capsule. The pill is made up of calcium sulfate, maltodextrin, magnesium stearate and stearic acid to help you lessen your blood pressure levels. These ingredients are supposed to work together to help make it easier for your body to keep fluid moving through your arteries while also nourishing your nervous system. For the supplement to provide optimal results, you should consume three doses every day. You may want to take all three at once in the morning, but for improved results you should take one with every meal.

Expense wise, this supplement is pretty reasonably priced. A sixty-capsule bottle costs less than $18 and a bottle of 90 capsules costs 22 dollars. For 36 dollars you might buy a two-month supply of the supplement (180 capsules). With respect to cost, that is considerably better just about every other natural remedy out there. This is nice because it minimizes the likelihood of someone trying to get you to shell out your hard earned cash on something simply for an affiliate sale.

Due to the two decades of outstanding reviews, we’re pretty certain that the supplement isn’t dangerous. The fact is that practically all of the reviews for this supplement have been very positive. Though we aren’t sure if the testamonials are good because the product truly does what the advertising says it will or because of a placebo effect.

As with every other product or supplement you want to test out, you need to get your doctor’s opinion on it. Your doctor is going to be acquainted with your medical history and is going to be able to let you know if this particular supplement will actually do what it is intended to do. The good news is that, most of the time, blood pressure levels can be regulated through some combination of diet and medication. Obviously before you spend a lot of money on Blood Pressure Factors, you need to be sure that it ultimately will help you with your blood pressure levels.

my blood pressure is 104/52. they gave this to me when i donated blood yesterday.. my pulse was 82 temperature 97.8 and hemoglobin 15.2.
i think the temperature is about normal.. pulse should be about normal? but i don’t understand the hemoglobin or blood pressure readings.

Chosen answer:

Answer by Molly
Blood pressure should be below 120/80. Typically your pulse should be between 60-80, but 82 is fine. Nothing to worry about. You shouldn’t worry until your resting heart rate is above 100. Hemoglobin levels should be between 13.5 – 17. Sounds like you are fine.

i am 15 i am 5’2″ and weigh 100 lbs. i just took my blood pressure and it said 102/82 with a heart rate of 72. is it high or low. i’m concerned because i’ve been having continuous dizziness spells and headaches and today i was a little bit nauseous. i got a blood test today but im pretty worried. my doctor said i probably have anemia but i’m afraid it could be something worse.

Selected answer:

Answer by AliL
120/80
That is the ideal rate but many people have different rates for different reasons. Having a low heart rate is just as bad as having a high heart rate. It’s not always life threatening and could just be an imbalance. You need to consult your doctor.

The Difference Between High and Low Blood Pressure

Do you have high blood pressure? Do you have low blood pressure? This is an important question for your health and your life. Why? According to the American Heart Association (AHA), about one in three adults in the United States have high blood pressure. And only about 63 percent of those with high blood pressure are even aware that they have it. Causing, a heart wrenching of almost 60,000 Americans dying each year of complications related to high blood pressure. So what are the symptoms of high blood pressure?

Likewise, when the blood is just about ready to be pumped out of the ventricles, the pressure is at its minimum and counted as diastole. For average people, its count is 80 and anything lower than that will render the person suffering from low pressure. The former occurs at the start of a cardiac cycle while the latter happens at the end of the same cycle. You can feel the flow by gripping your wrist and feeling for the artery.

Significance of low pressure: * The sufferer is usually middle-aged. * There will be clear symptoms like pale skin, dizziness, loss of appetite and profuse sweating. * The best thing about this disease is that doctors recommend eating whatever the sufferer likes.

Causes for High Blood Pressure: What could put you at risk for high blood pressure? There are numerous causes but here is a list of the major ones: Heredity: If your parents had high blood pressure, you are at risk. Race: African Americans are most at risk. However, all ethnicities are on a rise. Gender: Men are more likely than women to have high blood pressure. Age: As you age, your risk of high blood pressure increases. Salt Intake: Sodium intake has been linked with high blood pressure sufferers. Obesity: Being overweight is a huge risk factor for high blood pressure. Smoking: Smokers will often times be more at risk for hypertension. A Sedentary Lifestyle: If you are required to sit a lot at your profession… your risk rises.

When people consider their blood pressure, they usually think of avoiding hypertension. It is true that hypertension is bad for you, however, low pressure can be equally as hazardous. A few of the low blood pressure causes include internal bleeding, toxins, hormone imbalance, septic shock and several others. Even standing up from a sitting position can lower your pressure, but this is usually short lived. The low blood pressure causes are usually more severe and dangerous than the causes which create hypertension. Both conditions, without question, should be monitored by a trusted family physician.

Tips for Controlling High Blood Pressure

People with obesity and weight problems–and there are a lot of them–want ways to deal with their problems without prescription medications. You may want to learn about blood pressure control if you are suffering with high blood pressure and its many complications. This keeps your blood pressure from climbing to dangerously high levels that could even be deadly. There are a lot of ways for blood pressure control, but you only need to remember a few to keep you on the right path to good health.

Aside from losing weight through regular exercise and always eating healthy foods, you’ll also be able to learn blood pressure control by reducing the amount of your sodium intake. Maybe you’re making a healthy dish of vegetables and whole grains but you crave salt. Even when you eat healthy, you’re still at risk of blood pressure complications if you can’t do away with salt. Salt reductions in your eating habits often lead to lower blood pressure immediately. You could take upwards of 2,300 milligrams every day, at the most.

If you are already in your 50s or 60s, it would be best if you cut back considerably on salty foods. It’s typically advised to eat 1,500 milligrams a day or less. This is also true for those already suffering from high blood pressure, kidney diseases, and diabetes. Food doesn’t need salt to have more flavor; just chewing it more will make it tastier. As you grow up and try more foods on the process you will learn that not all foods are salty.

Alcohol negatively effects blood pressure, so limit your drinking. This is difficult to deal with if everyone else is doing it, especially for the younger people. The key to a healthy life is abstaining from alcohol. Their generation won’t really understand this, however when they get older, they will realize what they are being taught now is true.

To learn blood pressure control even when you take alcohol, you need to first see where all you’re spending goes with the help of a drinking pattern tracker. Think about how much it costs to stay intoxicated all day and look at how much you’re really drinking. If you want to maintain a normal blood pressure even when you’re drunk or you already had a lot to drink, all you need to do is rest up and relax, and don’t binge drink, or else a lot of things can happen afterwards.

What are the physical signs of low blood pressure?

A question asked by Angelia: What are the physical signs of low blood pressure?
I’m pregnant and had to be put on blood pressure meds a couple weeks ago because my BP was too high. It brought it down within a couple days to a good reading. I haven’t had it checked for almost two weeks (I go back to the doc this week for a BP check). The last couple days I’ve been feeling weak and tired. I’m not sick. I’m eating normally and drinking fluids, so I know I’m not dehydrated. I was wondering if maybe my blood pressure is starting to get too low.

Most detailed answer:

Answer by Charly Hayes
You could simply be tired and weak because of the pregnancy- it is hard for the body to supply 2 people with constant nutrition. When you go to the doctor this week tell him you are worried about the fatigue and he will be sure to monitor your BP regularly. High blood pressure during pregnancy is worse than low blood pressure. Relax until you see the doctor again

That’s a little low. “Normal” is 120 over 80. It varies from person to person. You might want to see a doctor. Nothing to panic about or anything, it just sounds low.
