A question from Mike S: What is your evaluation of a Blood Pressure reading of 112/56?
What is your evaluation of 112/56 for Blood Pressure?
What can you tell me about a blood pressure reading of 112/56?
Specifically?
I heard there is something called Pulse Pressure, that’s important as well. You subtract the two numbers, 112- 56 = 56. My pulse pressure is 56. What do you think of that number? Evaluation?
The patient always gets the same reading of 112/56. What should the patient do to IMPROVE his diastole reading of 56? Why is it so low? How can he/she make it higher?

It is low, but not too low… if you’re an otherwise healthy person, then hooray! good for you for having such low blood pressure.
The systolic looks great and the diastolic is a bit low. There’s nothing to really worry about. 120/80 mmHg is standard in the US. A systolic above 140 is cause for concern and between 90 and 120 is ideal. A diastolic below 50 can be unhealthy. Multiple BP readings can give a better indication of this patient’s standing.
