That is fine. The average is 110/80 or 120/85 – ball park…..

  2. hellogoodbyeuk says:

thats low. they usually say 100 plus your age of a bit over, so 120-130ish as the top figure.

  3. The Biz says:

usual is 120/80, seems like your’e systolic (which is the 98) is a bit low. don’t worry though. its not that bad.

    THATS A GOOD BLOOD PRESSURE
    I’M 55 AND I WEIGH 160 AND MINE IS 101 OVER 66

  5. John says:

Yeah, the 98 is a bit low. It is nothing bad at all. I have even lower blood pressure. Like 80 something over 50 something and the doctors tell me im going to live a long time. I guess they forgot to take into account that I like to get my adrenaline going and do stupid stuff. I am 20 also.

  6. Amanda T says:

“Blood pressure” is the force of blood pushing against the walls of the arteries as the heart pumps out blood. Having a BP of 98/72 is perfectly fine. You want your target BP to be no more than 120/80 (they consider that borderline hypertensive or high BP), and no less than 90/60 (they consider that and lower borderline hypo-tensive or low BP). The top number, that’s your systolic number, and is the pressure when the heart beats while pumping blood – that means the blood exiting your heart to travel throughout your body. The bottom number is the diastolic pressure, and is the pressure when the heart is at rest between beats – or the blood entering back into your heart from your body.

  7. Amber R says:

The BP that you have is perfectly normal. Im 23 and 94lbs. Mine is usually between 86/65 and 96/70. If you are worried, talk to your Dr. But i think what Amanda T. said is pretty accurate.
