KCMO girl asked:
I’m borderline hypotensive, and experience severe dizziness and sleepiness. What are some ways I can raise my blood pressure enough to erase these symptoms?

salty foods, and sodium particularly, raise blood pressure. so does anger (but anger is not very healthy), so i would say the salty foods, but dont over do them, just add a bit more salt, or eat more foods with salt (like pretzels, ramen noodles, etc).
if u want to raise blood pressure eat more salt, sugar, dont sleep, drink monsters
basically everyting my doctor told me not to do becuase i used to have high blood pressure, but now its low because ive been running and laying off salt

Treatment of low blood pressure is determined by the cause of the low pressure.
Increasing fluids to treat dehydration or wearing elastic hose to boost blood pressure in the lower part of the body.
Those with NMH should avoid triggers, such as standing for a long period of time. Other treatments involve drinking plenty of fluids and increasing the amount of salt in your diet.
A friend of mine used an inversion table. She still had to be careful though.
Good luck!
Licorice root! I don’t know the dosage, but HYPERtensive people have to avoid it. It lowers testosterone and raises blood pressure (there was a university study, I forget the link) For you it would be fantastic. Also, I would maybe try to eat more, eating raises your blood pressure pretty significantly (even healthy food, at least while you’re munching). Good luck, I suffer from hypertension and anxiety problems, the best remedies have been the least invasive-listen to your gut. But consult a physician as well, they know what they’re doing.
