Diabetes is the highest ranking reason for kidney failure. Your nephew is 26 and is having kidney failure and the dr doesn’t know why? Find a new dr!

  2. Jamie says:

There are many causes for kidney failure, such as diabetes glomerulonephritis, polycystic kidney disease, scarring from kidney infections and obstruction.

Check out these sites for more information.

But if your doctor has no idea what’s going on, you need to find a new doctor or kidney specialist ASAP. Don’t give up the fight until you get the answers you need!!!

First of all is his Dr. a Nephrologist a kidney specialist if not you need to find one. I am a state Certified Dialysis Tech and I can give you a few ideas. Keep in mind I am not a Doctor. Sometimes you can be born with a kidney disease and not know till you start having problems. It can be hereditary, high blood, sugar diabetese, medicines from surgeries for instance major surgeries like heart transplants, high levels of proteins in the body, injurys or bad accidents and th list goes on and on. He needs a series of test done blood work and a 24 hour urine. Good Luck!

Does he also have stomach problems and or an intense burning pain in his hands and feet. If so Look up Fabry Disease. If so feel free to contact me for more questions.

  5. Veteranschoice says:

Most Bacterial infections in your body. Your kidneys help filter your blood. When there is “toxins” in your blood from various critters that you don’t want in there, then your kidneys and your lymphatic system take the blow.
UTI (urinary tract infections) are probably the most common. Happens more in women than in men. If UTI’s are left untreated, or treatment did not work, kidney failure can occur.
