What alternatives do I have to lower blood pressure other than medication?

blood pressure miracle

leonegative asked:

I am a 30 year old male, I exercise 6 days a week (weight lifting and cardio) and I am in excellent shape. I eat a very strict diet that limits sodium to 2500mg per day or less, while taking in large amounts of protein and potassium. Despite my efforts, my blood pressure is still 140/100. What am I doing wrong?

  1. Magg's says:

Your not doing anything wrong. You may need medication because high blood pressure can be hereditary. If you can’t control it by exercise and diet medication is usually the next step.

    It’s not too bad though.
Try buying Flora (cholesterol lowering) spreads, milk and yogurts to see if that has any impact.
Take a look at your stress levels as that can be a big cause of increased Blood pressure.

Eat salmon. Fish with omega-3s has been linked in research to lower blood pressure readings.

  4. Mr. Dollar Saver says:

Try omega-3, garlic supplements, apple cider vinegar, aspirin, lots of antioxidants, lots of water, oat meal, lots of whole grains, no alcohol or soda, 2500 mg of sodium is too much cut it to 1000 for 30 days let your body use what it has stored up. you also may need a light water pill to release some of the water weight in your body that is holding that salt! Your body is having trouble releasing the extra fluid trapped in your body due to the sodium you may need a little jump start! Another thing if you worry too much or even stress about your blood pressure it will go up! Try relaxing, deep breathing, slowing your body down manually! I sounds funny but some peoples bodies don’t know how to relax!

    limit 1500mg sodium a day
no caffein including decaffein (still 8-10% caffein)
    no green tea (caffein)
    no alcohol
    no fats
    no sugar if diabetes
    no spicy
water pill plus extra potassium as need
if still high then take medicine better then herbs.
