Question posed by SilverSky: Is this a normal blood pressure and why is my second number always lower than normal?
i’ve gotten my blood pressure taken regularly the past several months for checkups and followups to other issues and it’s around 124/70 consistantly. i see that the 70 (dialostic) sp? is on the low side to almost low low. is that normal or due to me being an athlete?

70 is very good. 80 is the borderline range for high BP. 124 is not bad, but anything over 120 is considered high.

Diastolic pressure is a measure of blood pressure while the heart is relaxed, between heartbeats relax your blood pressure is normal its a good thing
