I would say C – usual dosages of Perindopril is like 2.0 2.5 etc – I loeared about this in class this is a serioud BP med do to netdoctor.com and thats should help you more! This med doesn’t usuially go from what I remembre much higher that 10mg…..

Because this dose is above the recommended daily dose of perindopril you would do “c” and check with the prescriber. In my experience, there may be a type-o or misprint and the dose was actually intended to be written as 2.0mg not 20mg. If the physician does want the patient to take 20mg, document your conversation with the physician on the prescription (be specific), inform the patient that you have concerns about the dose (anything above 8mg/day results in the same outcome as 8mg/day, increasing the dose increase side effects) and they should discuss with their MD the necessity of 20mg/day and the possibility of alternate anti-hypertensive therapies.

I would say C, that dosage is too high, and D is wrong because nurses/aids/etc must ALWAYS consult with the doctor before making any changes to the patient’s routine, medications, exercises etc.
