Question posed by Rizo_Rigatoni: I am wondering if anyone can explain my blood pressure.
I’ve noticed a slight off and on pain in my chest, nothing extreme, and decided to check my blood pressure. My reading was 142/76 & my pulse was around 80. I’ve read some charts that say 142 is borderline, but 76 is normal. Is this anything to get worried about?
BTW I am 28/m if that is any help.

You should get it checked out just to be on the safe side.Chest pains are never a good sign.

man u there’s nothing to worry about. 14/7.6 is an excellent blood pressure
But I think u should c ur doctor bcz of ur chest pain. A routine examination (+/- ECG) is required specially if ur >40years. If not ur 100% normal
142/76 shows an elevation of the systolic blood pressure: it should be 120 not 142.
The chest pain needs to be checked. See a doctor. You’ll need at least a resting EKG and possibly a treadmill stress test for starters.
Your blood pressure does indicate hypertension.
Take your blood pressure for 1 week and present your results to your doctor.
Any constant readings of 140/90 or higher indicate hypertension.
Get your chest pain evaluated also by your local doctor, they will want to know such things as timing/description/location of your pain.
