How to effectively reduce high blood pressure?

blood pressure miracle

Question posed by Kehinde T: How to effectively reduce high blood pressure?
Please how can I effectively reduce high blood pressure within the next couple of weeks. My current BP is 140/90 and need to get it within the normal range in the next 5 weeks. I have started exercising vigourously( tae bo in the morning, brisk walking in the evening), eating right, started HCTZ medication.
What else can I do to bring it down fast?

Seems like you are doing good… as I always say…exercise ist the best medicine! But how about your diet? Stay away from foods high in salt/ sodium and fat.Good Luck and God Bless.

    Don’t smoke
try relaxation techniques like meditation and yoga
Get a dog <– said to lower peoples blood pressure by just petting them! Plus good exercise buddies
    cut out salt
    Oatmeal for breakfast
Don’t drink, except for the occasional glass of wine
    RELAX!!

i guess you would have had talk with your doctor too.
high blood pressure would have come to you over a period of time.
so, now its showing is symptoms, the doctor has given an option with the medication depending on your symtoms.
the exercise is good, eat fibrous food, avoid meat, eat less of stored food. this keeps you fit very fast.
dont hurry let it the body take its time this will help you,
else you will find some other inconviences to treat.
so, keep your track of exercise and diet.
    dont think much about it.

Cut out cigarettes, if you smoke.

    No alcoholic beverages.

Caffeine; cut way back. For this one you need to read labels!!! You probably realize that coffee and tea have caffeine so do MOST soft drinks and chocolate!

Lower your sodium consumption…. again this takes more than throwing away the salt shaker. Read labels.

We have to do a lot of “cooking from scratch” to keep my hubby’s sodium intake where his doctor wants it.
