Has anyone with high blood pressure been able to get off meds through lifestyle changes alone?

blood pressure miracle

fembot5000 asked:

I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. I am 47 and never had issues before. The past year has been EXTREMELY stressful for me (too much to get into). I know I have to lose about 20 pounds and change diet. I am now taking Inderal. I was wondering if I lost the weight, ate well, didn’t smoke, etc. I could eventually get off medication. Has anyone ever sucessfully done this through lifestyle changes? Unfortunately both my parents have this also.

    Worked for my mom.

Many people have lost enough weight to regain normal blood pressure. Being under stress doesn’t help. Your doctor will step down your meds and wean you off when you are ready.
