I personally dont have gest dia.. but my dr did take me off sweets due to high glucose level. i have a friend who recently had her baby and was diagnosed with gest dia. she also had high blood pressure. she ended up being 1 week over due and when she went to get checked at her drs her blood pressure was through the roof and she had to be induced. she had a 24 hour labor and ended up having a c section because the baby was in distress. i think her delivery was difficult due to being induced though. i had another friend that was induced and she had a 33 hour labor but her baby was sunny side up. so you never know. im praying for a good delivery, but sometimes it just gets complicated. you will be fine as long as you follow what your dr says and stay away from sugar and salt and drink a lot of water. thats what i had to start doing and feel so much better. if your blood pressure stays high then you probably will have additional testing to make sure your baby is ok. women have this all the time. just be precautious. good luck.
