Can high blood pressure cause eyes to turn red ,like some blood vessels are irritated?

I woke up yesterday and my left eye was a little irritated on one side.It looks like some blood vessels burst.Some people tell me is due to high blood pressure,others say is due to the weather….I really need to know.this is the second time this happens to me in my life.I am a 39 year old man,if needed for any suggestion.

    its some kind of eye disease, i dont think its cataracs, i could not remember the definition of cataracs or nothing. but check it out. it might be irritation or a blood vessel that popped. or something. other than that dude if your experieneing any pains or weaknesses in your shoulder call your doctor right away.

    Both maybe correct. High blood pressure can make your eye red. I experienced it with my father. He is a hypertensive, there was a time when he woke up early in the morning, he’s eye’s is very red. When i checked he’s blood pressure, the reading was 170/100. A high blood indeed, during the check up the doctor said it is caused by the high blood pressure. Better go to your physician.
