i’m on lisinopril and when i get out the bath my heart is pounding and i check my blood pressure and it is actually good. is this right:? does lisinopril work that well? i checked with two bp monitors..can lisinopril keep your bp down even when your pulse is up?

Yes it can. Lisinopril is a powerful drug, but either way, your pulse really has nothing to do with your blood pressure, essentially. The blood pressure depends on how MUCH blood is in each beat and how thin the arteries it is flowing through are, i.e. how much the blood stretches the artery. Your pulse could be 180 but your blood pressure normal or even low. It’s the volume of each individual beat that counts.
