I take lisinopril, personally I’ve had no side effects. For the first few days, make sure to check your bloodpressure (walmart, pharmacy) at the same time each day to monitor what your blood pressure does. Try setting up slowly when getting out of bed, and if you feel dizzy, your blood pressure may be getting a little too low.
Here is a great site to look at.
I took it for about 6 months ago during cancer treatment with no problems. Then I took it this year during cancer problems and it dropped my bp too low and I had to quit taking it. Check bp often, and get to know your body and howyou feel when your bp is too hight as well as too low.
First, you should have been given a medication handout when you picked up your prescription. Read it. Lisinopril is a good blood pressure medication but may require a couple of dosage changes by your doctor to get your blood pressure in the range where he wants you. Also, read up on hypertension and ways to lower your blood pressure – they are dieting and exercise. There are ways to get yourself back off these meds if you are willing to do the work. Work with you doctor.
Its a good tablet – in very very common use around the world for the treatment of high blood pressure.
Most people who take it have no side effects at all.
Its one of a group of tablets called “ACE inhibitors” – these tablets have been shown to prevent stroke and to improve heart function
Like all tablets – some people do get mild side effects – so if concerned then speak to your doc about it
