A question from Josh E: What is the most reliable, yet affordable blood pressure monitor?
I get different readings from the hospital and my own blood pressure monitor. So I was hoping somebody could recommend something.

Lifesource or “AND” brand (from Walmart’s or Meijers?) is a good brand for about $ 70 or so. Get the one where you push the button and it pumps itself up. “AND” brand was rated #1 in consumer reports I believe at one time. I think Lifesource bought the “AND” company. Sometime you buy a Lifesource monitor and it says “AND” on the bottom of the monitor. Sometimes you might find them cheap on ebay too, but watch out for shipping costs.

here is one on ebay for $ 18 plus shipping..UA-767..I am a nurse and I have used a similar one for years…If you are overweight, you might have to go to walmart or meijers and buy a large cuff to go with this or look on ebay for one that already has a large cuff..
