These are great. I am a nurse and I own one myself. The arm one is more accurate supposedly but either one is fine for keeping an eye on your blood pressure. If you want to check the accuracy just take it with you to the docs office and have the nurse use your machine on you and then have her check your blood pressure with the clinic equipment.
If you know better then please let us know below.

digital BP machine and manual readings may differs around 20mmHg. Manual more accurate.
digital blood pressure machines are fine, accu-care is one my mother uses. What ever machine you end up getting just take it in with your next dr. visit and he or she will calabrate it to insure accuracy.
Omron is the top company in digital blood pressure monitoring systems. The systems usually run about 100.00 dollars, but I am going to put you intouch with a company that supplies free machines to doctors. Maybe they can give you a doctor in your area and that way you don’t have to spend the money. Go to http://www.morning-watch.com maybe they will give you one free if you join their program, ask and find out. Good Luck
