This is a great clip. I have the Macleods last years edition and wish i waited for the new edition with the CD. However, I think it would be good to mention what karattkoff sounds should be heard i.e. I and V plus variations of BP in pregnancy (Use Karotkoff IV). Also white coat hypertension should be mentioned and that if you suspect a reading to be abnormal/low then a repeat after a few minutes and try on other arm (cause:aortic dissection) should be done.
There is a pulse in the thumb but this is relevant for when you are checking for signs of life. The brachial pulse should be distinguishable from the very weak thumb pulse.
Shouldn’t you not use your thumb when taking pulse? Something about there being a pulse in the thumb?
