I would not worry. Lots of people have diverticulosis and hypertension. We all have to succumb to some illness. Just make the best of whatever time remain.
~~Pain causes blood pressure to rise. If you were hurting it could easily raise it that much. It would return to normal (unless you have high blood pressure) once the pain was under control.~~
If the doctors aren’t worried, don’t sweat ti small stuff. Pain can cause your BP to fluctuate and so can some medications.
